Lineage in art is rarely about imitation. It is about inheritance of values: a seriousness toward the work, a belief in painting’s capacity to hold complexity, and an understanding that rigor and imagination are not opposites. At the center of this exhibition is William S. Dutterer — an artist shaped by his mentors, who in turn influenced the next era of artists.

This exhibition marks the first presentation of Michael Iamperi's work since his passing. Spanning early works through drawings completed near the end of his life, the exhibition traces a sustained and evolving investigation into the expressive potential of line.
